As you all know, the FAA began implementation of its Part 107 Regulations on August 29, 2016. For people who already have their Part 61 Airmen Certificate, you will be able to complete the online training course “Part 107 small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) ALC-451” found at the following link: https://www.faasafety.gov/ in order to obtain a temporary Remote Pilot Airmen Certificate and start flying for commercial purposes. Everyone else will need to take a Part 107 Knowledge Test at one of the FAA’s approved testing centers in order to obtain a Remote Pilot Airman Certificate before flying commercial (unless you already have a Section 333 Exemption in which you can continue to fly under your Section 333).
